73% of total amount raised for Insulinde

Thanks to the support of more than 100 donors, funds, and companies, we have raised over €500,000! This means that over 73% of the required amount for the restoration of the Insulinde has been secured.

This amazing interim result shows how many people care deeply about the Insulinde and has enabled us to start phase 1 of the project. Since the ship has been at Damen, a great deal of work has already been done. She has been cleaned, the teak deck of the open helm station has been removed, and preparations for the hull inspection have begun. An important part of phase 1 is the overhaul of the two Gleniffer engines. Both engines will be removed from the ship and transported to Motorenrevisie Spaarnestad in Haarlem for major maintenance.
